Sculpt
Sculpt is a bespoke show made in response to Chelsea and Westminster’s Hospital Art Collection. Designed as a ‘living gallery’, the work shines a light on the hospital’s artwork by bringing three sculptures to life through dance, blending expressive movement with cheekiness, playfulness and joy.
Created for patients, visitors and staff, the performance takes place in the hospital’s public Atrium area. Transforming a busy entrance area into a moment of creativity and connection.
Audiences are invited to choose which dance they would like to watch and when, encouraging interaction and a sense of ownership within the experience. Large photographic boards of each sculpture are displayed alongside short introductions, allowing audiences to discover more about the artworks before the performances begin.
Sculpt was co-created with patients, whose ideas and responses directly influenced the creative process and choreography.
